Everybody knows I’m a talker, for me conversations are everything. What started off as penning down all of my random thoughts into my phone notes every now and then (in-between long flights and late late shoot nights) grew to my love for writing. I hope what I have to say makes all of you aware of just how wonderful and gifted you are, don’t worry – this ain’t no lecture, it’s just my take on how you’ve gotta pull up your socks or saree and #Riseandslay!
Since a very young age, I’ve always dreamt of being an entertainer, in fact, I was the family’s ‘Jack’ of all and master of one, no puns intended! When I set my mind to it and realised how much I enjoyed entertaining people through storytelling, making everyone around me burst into uncontrollable fits of laughter, or engage with emotions through dialogue I knew I wanted to be a performer.
Entering Bollywood pretty much happened by chance, and I milked the shit out of it. When I first started off in the industry, I went through a series of ups and downs, doubts and uncertainties but everytime it would ignite my fire and make me stronger, make me unstoppable and extremely grateful for everything I had in that moment.
(Digging into my iPhone notes library for you guys to get some of miu miu’s words of wisdom.. it’s true my cat is a real know it all)

You will come across a number of people who could dissuade you from achieving your goals and dreams, but what you’ve gotta focus on is making it, not breaking it. The magical formula for this one is… *drumroll* not really magical at all but it all boils down to one thing and that is believing in yourself.
I grew up in a very simple Sri Lankan family, raised in the Bahrain. I first decided I wanted to be a performer at the age of 6, and honestly, was quite afraid to bring this up with my parents. I was apprehensive of what they’d say since it was quite an unconventional career path but I just went for it. Lucky for me, my family always believed in my belief of living my dream.

Good Vibes Only
I strongly believe in the power of energy – you put it out there and you get it 10x stronger! Cut out the negative energy and just tune into your inner self to know what you really want + what’s good for you. Trust me – once you do, you just have to believe you will get it, if it doesn’t happen learn from it and move on.
I often get asked from a lot of people what gives me the drive to keep physically challenging myself and learning different forms of dance, movement and expression.
My A1 since Day 1 has been keeping my body physically active, only because this sets the path for determination, for grit. But is that all it takes to be strong? With physical strength, comes mental strength. Boosting one’s mental stability starts with something as simple as committing to a habit, of eating healthy or giving your body a good stretch every morning before you check your mails or Insta feed! It takes 21 days to build a habit and according to me you’ve just gotta get up and say it’s Day one not One day.
This is my first ever blog experience and it feels exhilarating! I know all of you have a dream, and I want you to nurture it and invest all your time, dedication and heart to grow it until it matures into a green and beautiful tree with lots of delicious fruits! I’m sure you’ll across all sorts barriers, but before you think of giving up ask yourself why you put so much into it anyway. I Hope you enjoyed this read as much as I enjoyed writing it and can’t wait to share and hear what all of you have to say!
